Welcome to Hat Attack #25, which means that I’ve been sharing my love for headwear on the first of every month on Style Crone for over two years.  Over that period of time I haven’t touched on the category of casual hats. The headwear that I wear most frequently as I go about my days!  I never leave the house without headwear, and today I’m featuring a structured straw cap by Diane Harty Millinery HERE of Frisco, Colorado.  She can do headwear across the millinery continuum, as featured HERE on Hat Attack in July of 2014.  Diane has the talent to take it from fascinator/headpiece to casual and beyond!

This pale blue cap with creased detail on the crown and black visor and trim has been one of my summertime favorites.  I was happy to see Diane Harty at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival in Denver this July, and I have been wearing this purchased piece of art about town ever since.  I love its sporty, casual vibe!

A special thank you to all who have participated in Hat Attack over the past two years.  I appreciate your love of headwear and always look forward to your millinery delights and your creativity!

Now it’s your turn to throw a little headwear love my way!

Please display your hat, headwrap, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you adore, give The SC an AUGUST HAT ATTACK  and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post. Can’t wait to see the beautiful contributions that you share throughout the next week. Participation will be open through Friday, August 7th.

  1. I had to choose this hat, as it reminds me of the creasing in your wonderful hat.
You look great in casual and dressy. This hat is such a cool mix of textures and styles. I would be stealing it off your head for a try!

  2. How lucky you are to have such a talented milliner on your doorstop, this structured cap is a great little number. Thank you so much for hosting Hat Attack and giving all of us hat lovers a chance to get together.

  5. ooo, I love that unexpected crease in it. A casual hat. Never thought of hats in those terms. I guess when you’re a connoisseur…

  6. Such a jaunty little cap – it suits the casual vibe of a denim jacket perfectly!
I don’t have a hat/headwear to share this time (so sorry!) but I always like to try and participate in Hat Attack. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since you started, hasn’t the time flown? I’ll be there next month, I promise! xx

  7. Curtise had the perfect description for the cap – it is wonderfully jaunty!! I don’t think there is any style of hat that doesn’t suit you. Love the look of the denim jacket with the collar up.

Two years since the first Hat Attack? Where has the time gone??

  8. You look marvellously biker chic in the indigo jacket and Baker Boy cap! I’ve joined in with Easy Rider combo in your honour! xxx

  9. Oh Judith! I’ve been holding back waiting for the hat goddess to attack me – and I keep scaring her away, and now there’s only one hour left to post. Gaaa! I don’t think I’ll make it.
But thank you for hosting this party again so I can at least indulge in the generosity of the other fabulous women sharing here, with you at the front of the parade in your gorgeous sporty cap. I just love it! I love how you’ve mixed it up with this casual piece. The hat goes perfectly with your denim jacket – the cut of it is beautiful. Great shots by Daniel too!
