October’s Hat Attack was created by my friend Brooks LTD, a talented Denver clothing designer who I have modeled for over the past several years. She made this fabulous bow headpiece for her participation in Latin Fashion Week Colorado. Brooks was one of the brilliant designers featured in this fashion show, and I modeled the headpiece, along with the elegant ensemble that she created, which harmonized with the “bow.”

Brooks informed me that she was thinking of me when she designed this piece, which humbled and thrilled me. As soon as I put it on, I fell in love! It frames the face perfectly, allowing a small piece of my silver hair to show. I’m very selective about my headwear, and this creation stole my Style Crone heart!

Brooks decided to name this piece “The Judith.” I am honored more than words can express. This is the first time that a hat has been named after me. This beauty can be created in any color, and is for sale on Brooks’ website

I chose to wear the “The Judith” to the Curate International Collections Show, which I attended during my NYC visit a few weeks ago. Curate International Collections is an exclusive and carefully curated trade show where designers are hand-picked and showcased in a gallery-like space.

I paired the headpiece with the tulle dress designed by the talented Croatian designer Igor Dobranic, who creates classy and timeless pieces which are somewhat unconventional. I met Igor at the Curate Show last year, and I am captivated by his art.

The two photos above were taken by the NYC-based portrait photographer Philip Vukelich, who photographed attendees during the 5th addition of Curate. It was a wonderful and festive event, which I felt privileged to attend. It was the perfect venue for “The Judith,” which I’m sure will attend more celebratory gatherings in the future.

Anyone can participate in the celebration of headwear!  Click on the blue link-up button and there are a number of ways to share your photo from your blog, Instagram or your computer photo files.  All forms of headwear are appreciated:  hat, headwrap, headscarf, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you enjoy.  Multiple photos are encouraged!

Now it’s your turn to throw a little headwear my way. Give The SC an OCTOBER  HAT ATTACK, and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post. The link-up will be open through October 31st.
