Hat Attack #28
November’s Hat Attack features a vintage floppy brimmed leopard print fur felt hat by Adolpho, which I purchased for next to nothing at the thrift shop Second Debut HERE during my recent visit to Minneapolis. Though I have many animal print hats in residence in the hat room, this beauty is completely different from anything in my current collection.
I love peering from beneath its sweeping brim, blocking or viewing a perspective on a whim. How could I resist its compelling splendor?

I plan to wear it to lunch with a friend this week so that it can make its Denver debut. Not every hat enjoys an outing so soon after its discovery!
Linking up with Patti’s Visible Monday HERE and Catherine’s #iwillwearwhatilike HERE.
Now it’s your turn to throw a little headwear love my way!
Please display your hat, headwrap, headscarf, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you adore, give The SC a NOVEMBER HAT ATTACK and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post. Can’t wait to see the beautiful contributions that you share throughout the next week. Participation will be open through Saturday, November 7th.

Lovely. I must see if I can find my leopard print hat in the garage and take a photo.
Your white hair is looking stunning. Nearly as good as blonde, hahhahaa.
I have something on my head so I am joining you, my dear friend

Judith, the hat is great and your new grey hair looks lovely. I would love to see it without a hair just once.
Hi Judith, I finally submitted! Your hat looks great along with your new hair!

Dear Judith,
I love your gorgeous leopard floppy! I find for me, many a floppy can come across as Flops with an occasional exception(lucky me!) but I think this hat had your name on it even before you got to the store. Your Floppy is Flip Worthy!!
Sincerely Flipping Out,
Jewel xo
I can’t wait to see that hat (I can only assume I’m the friend it gets to debut for???)! Can’t wait to meet you tomorrow!! jodie

Oooh! LOVE this hat! Good thing I wasn’t there otherwise I’d have fought you for it!

That hat, as with all your hats, made me sigh. Animal prints are not generally my favorite but perhaps because this hat embodies such lovely workmanship my own prejudices are overruled. Lovely to wake up to such inspiration on a Sunday morning.
Oh, you have the best hat collection! Wow, what a piece!
Love the HAT and the HAIR!!!
Lovely hat with your new hair look!
The world needs more hats like yours!! I bet it’s fun to wear. x
i’m not used to seeing you in an unstructured, wide-brimmed hat like this one – and I love it! Very ’70’s chic, indeed. I’m glad it found a place in your hat room 😉

Oh, this is a treasure Judith. I would be taking it to lunch as well.
Love the hat. Love the natural hair even more!
Have just attempted to submit my post to Hat Attack…. my first time…. sure hope it works!
One can never have to many leopard print hats . I can see why you have added it to your collection , the shape and style with its floppy brim just sensational, love your silver hair peeking out.
I don’t often see you with floppy brims but this looks brillliant on you. Again, such classic shots. Gorgeous! Your hair is a winner with everyone here!
Your hair looks amazing! I would love to see it without a hat.
What a wonderful hat – as ever you look stunning. I love animal print hats – I’ve got two or is it three? But what I haven’t got is an animal print hat with a floppy brim. Your post has made me think I must hunt one down! And I’ll be posting on Hat Attack in a couple of days time – see you there!
That hat looks great on you! And you are stunning in gray hair! I am trying to let mine go gray but it is difficult!
You are looking absolutely gorgeous my dear! Just stunning I say!!
xoxo

Such a gorgeous hat, loving the floppy brim and the way the leopard print plays against your changing hair colour.
I’ve brought the family with me this month; my sister, eldest daughter and I, all trying on vintage hats with varying degrees of success, but much laughter! It’s true – hats really do make you happy! xxx
Judith your new hair is so beautiful and striking, I love it!! The hat is a beauty such an unusual shape for leopard print!), thanks so much for linking it up to #iwillwearwhatilike.
It was my pleasure to feature you as one of my hats picks from the week before – it wouldn’t have been the same without you…!!
Much love,
Catherine x
This is a style that you don’t wear often, but it looks wonderful on you (surprise, surprise…), especially with the new hair colour. I have acquired an appreciation of Adolpho hats ever since you gifted me with the spectacular red one! Do all hats by that designer have dramatic shapes?
Judith,
Love the angle of the Adolpho’s brim with your perfect profile against the fall foliage! So chic! Also, thank you for encouraging your readers and the world to wear hats!
All the best,
Juliane

I adore that hat, you look utterly wonderful in it.
Your hair is transitioning beautifully! xxx
I’m so looking forward to the unveiling of your hair, Judith! I think you just may look even more gorgeous with it “natural”…..
Love “The Style Crone”–keep on being an inspiration to those of us over 60!
Kind regards from Liz
Of course the hat is gorgeous. They always are… but I can see that your hair is really completely grey now. When are you going to reveal it to us? I wonder whether it will have an impact on the colours you will wear.

Will reveal soon! Thanks Greetje!
Yes, interesting to me also as I was a BROWN clothing addict – all shades of African desert-look, leopard, sand etc. Once I let my hair go grey/silver, I had to ditch the brown and I’ve gone to black again with navy blue and grey. SO much better aesthetically, I’ve found!.
