October’s Hat Attack is brought to you by the Guild Collective HERE , which is “a curated collection of the fine work of stylists, local artists, photographer, retailers and designers from around Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota.”  I stumbled upon this unique shop during my recent trip to visit my mother.

The Guild has a large selection of vintage hats, and I tried on each and every one. This 1960’s black fur felt chapeau with high crown, brim and faux leather trim caught my attention, and I couldn’t leave without it.

It now has its place in the hat room, which has recently been transitioned from summer to fall.  I’ve always been of the opinion that a woman can never have too many black hats!

Now it’s your turn to throw a little headwear love my way!

Please display your hat, headwrap, headscarf, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you adore, give The SC an OCTOBER HAT ATTACK  and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post. Can’t wait to see the beautiful contributions that you share throughout the next week. Participation will be open through Wednesday, October 7th.

  1. LOVE IT! What a lovely and utterly unique hat! And are those gumball pearls? I adore humongous faux pearls, and those are WOW! Tres chic!

  2. This new hat has such elegance , I can see why it needed to take its place in your Hat Room. I agree with you, there can never be too many black hats.

  3. Wow, possibly the most elegant (and formidable!) hat in the collection. It’s art, and your look beautiful wearing it. xox

  4. Judith, yet another stunning hat. But I confess at this point I’d like to see a picture of “the hat room” and see if it matches my imagination. Doubtless it exceeds. Perhaps you’ve done this before but a “tour” would be most appreciated, at least by me! Of course I want to see you in each and every one as well. Do people stop you on the street? I would.

  5. Always elegant, Judith – another fabulous hat for your collection! I love the leather trim and lacing detail on the side. Happy to join you this month! xxx

  6. You look stunning. I wish I looked that good in a hat-any hat-but I don’t any more. Sometimes I take a lucky shot but generally I look awful. I love how you so beautifully keep hats alive.

  7. Very interesting height. People will certainly see you coming!
I see a peep of your natural hair colour 🙂
Hope you had a nice time with your Mum. Xo Jazzy Jack

  8. I would love to throw a hat picture your way my dear, but again alas.
You look terrific in your high hat. I love hats which are high, they look better on me than flatter ones.

  9. Excellent hat! It’s so dramatic, but I expect nothing less. I am also wearing a hat that sits high on my head. I’m still having trouble finding my hat sweet spot, but every Hat Attack helps.

  10. Judith, I just wish I could wear hats because I absolutely love this cloche. Perhaps I just haven’t ‘met’ the right hat!

And bravo for promoting the Guild Collective.

  11. Yes, I totally agree. You can’t have too many black hats (or maybe just one???). Love your find. There is a woman who designs hats in Hood River, and I’m having a hard time deciding which one to buy. They are all gorgeous (but expensive). Wish you could help me!

  12. Dear Judith, pretty soon you will have to post a photo of the Hat Room just to satisfy everyone’s curiousity. Having seen it in person, I can attest that is it a marvelous place with more eye candy than can be taken in with one viewing.

Gumball pearls are the only ones I would wear, and they are just perfect with this divine chapeau.

  13. Yes, I agree with Contessa, you do need a table top book Judith! Love this hat and I love that you are doing a Hat Attack Link Up. I wish so much that I looked good in hats, I have tried every style and shape and it just isn’t meant to be. So, I will just enjoy looking at all of your beautiful hats. Love seeing everyone else’s hats too!
