Another Christian Dior chapeau spoke to me this week.  This vintage silk floral bouquet was discovered by my dear friend Thom, who was managing an estate sale for a friend.  He called me about it, knowing that I would fall in love with its multicolored beauty.

Of course he was right.  Friendships that support who we are are priceless! I feel like I have a flower garden on my head, which is a state of mind that I highly recommend!

April showers bring May flowers.

Now it’s your turn!

Please display your hat, headwrap, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you adore, give The SC a MAY HAT ATTACK and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post.  Can’t wait to see the beautiful creations that you share throughout the next week. Participation will be open through May 7th.

I’ve received emails from folks who want to participate, but don’t have a blog.  You don’t need a blog to join in, which I learned from the fabulous Bella of The Citizen Rosebud HERE.  All you need is a photo of you in your headwear- and a url of the image to link up. You can use Facebook (just make sure it’s public) or your cache of Instagram pics (use an online view like Webstagram, Statigram, etc) or a picture from your Flickr, or Tumblr page.

Linking up with Bella’s Secondhand First HERE at The Citizen Rosebud!  Everything I’m wearing was lovingly pre-owned and therefore recycled.  Thank you Bella, for hosting this creative party!

  1. Your hat is FABULOUS Judith and you look just gorgeously spring like wearing it.

A quite stunning Christian Dior Chapeau also spoke to me this week end at Festival of Vintage in York, It now sits in it’s new home awaiting the next race day!!! Can’t wait!!!

  2. Oh, I must be in good company then because the floral confection I created for Crazy Hair Day at my school last Spirit Week is very reminiscent of your fabulous chapeau. Will post it for your viewing pleasure, but have got another, more recent offering if I may do double linkups? Your jacket and gloves are brilliant, btw.

  3. I love that comment about having a flower garden on your head! Such a happy hat. Bravo. Happy Spring gorgeous! xoJennifer

  4. That fabulous Dior hat looks like a floral crown, it’s glorious! With the pink jacket and orange gloves, you look divine.
You’re right, friends who get and support your passions are priceless – I think fellow bloggers provide that so well too.
Thanks as ever for hosting Hat Attack, Judith. xxx

  5. I hope to join your Hat Attack next month. I don’t seem to like myself in hats. Hope to find one that I do. Your “I’m in over my head” Christian Dior creation for May is lovely.

  6. You bloomingly beautiful woman you! I adore that floral hat on you! You are truly sight to behold! Thank you for hosting HAT ATTACK. I’m topped and ready to party!

  8. What a wonderful party happening here! This weekend I must return and check out my fellow party goers! Thank YOU Judith- one for being such a joy to visit via blog, for having such incredible style to go with that amazing joie de vivre and spirit, and for all your warmth, love and support. I was overjoyed to see you over the Secondhand First link-up- after all, you are most certainly an unofficial ambassador to the SHF movement! xo! Bella

  9. What a glorious creation Judith! And how joyously you wear it. I am joining in for the first time, with a knitted creation. Thanks for this opportunity. I do love hats!

  10. Beautiful. I saw a lovely floral hat the other day as I was prowling around but unfortunately it was way too small…again. But I can enjoy the way you look in yours!!

I wanted to post another outfit for Hat Attack, but ran out of time. Maybe I’ll save it for June. 🙂

  11. Looking ever so good in that flower hat. A work of art.
Unfortunately I cannot join you in this hat attack as I don’t have any hats anymore. Alas.

  12. Judith–just love your garden of flowers hat! And so many others too!
Looks like I’m a bit sideways…to many mint juleps maybe!! Lol xoxo

  13. As soon as I saw the first photo, I thought, Judith has a whole garden on her head” and then scrolled down to see that you felt the same way 😉 It is lovely to have friends that know your taste well enough to put aside things for you. If I can find a recent photo of me in a hat, I will join the party this month.

  14. What a glorious wreath of a hat, Judith! You are definitely the loveliest May Queen I’ve ever seen. Your friend knows you well and has excellent taste. Thank you for hosting another Hat Attack 😉

  15. So glad you heard the call and beckoned the arrival of May with that ever so lively and pleasant flowery hat. Just a delight to the eyes. Thank you so very very much for bringing us so much joy!

  16. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, must get myself into a hat and take a pic- wore 3 different ones in the last week- no pics!x

  17. What a fabulous hat, and fabulous outfit to go with it LOVE that pink and mustard!). And how appropriate to post on May 1. Here’s a bit of what Wikipedia says about May Day: “The earliest May Day celebrations appeared in pre-Christian times, with the festival of Flora, the Roman goddess of flowers…”

I have been thinking a lot about flowered hats lately. This one is perfect!

  18. Methinks u r a flower. Happy Spring! May we grow where we are (trans)PLANTED. This really is the most amazing Hat GARDEN.
