May’s Hat Attack is the spearmint ostrich feather explosion by Alexandra Harper Millinery London HERE.  I love how the feathers cascade from the headband and softly caress my face.  Feathers and the flowers at Union Station Denver HERE somehow bloom together.

With this post I’m excited to reveal Style Crone’s new look.  After blogging for almost eight years, an update was long overdue. This is a step forward and represents a commitment to continue.  Thank you to all followers and those of you who comment on Style Crone.  I am deeply grateful!

WHY I LOVE BEING A MILLINER: By Alexandra Harper
It’s the best job in the world! I love having the chance to use beautiful materials (some traditional, some contemporary and technological, some from nature) and to turn them into a piece that makes their wearer feel extraordinary. There’s something very satisfying about the physical nature of millinery – every material needs to be manipulated, sewn or sculpted by hand to bring out its best. And to watch the pure joy on a client’s face when she puts on the perfect piece is really magical!….Alexandra Harper

  1. ADORE the ensemble!!! All your beauty and style has almost inspired me to get back to blogging. Thank you so much for sharing the “loveliness”.

  2. You look beautiful in that hat, and that ensemble and that location! And your blog looks great to – so is this type face. I’m so glad to hear you’ve recommitted to blogging too! You are most definitely my superheroine.

  3. love the hat. What I also love is the aqua and navy. I think it is so hard to pair navy with a color and composition that does not end up looking too conservative. Has to be just the right shade of navy (and aqua)
    Well done!

  4. Hi Liz, I discovered the kimono at a boutique in Denver years ago. Unfortunately it is no longer exists. Thank you for your comment!

  5. Judith you look so lovely in that pale blue feathery confection of a headpiece and pretty kimono jacket.

  6. I have never seen a more successful mix of navy and spearmint! Not only is the headpieces beautiful, the gloves are gorgeous too, as is the jewellery. It all comes together in such a harmonious way – and with a perfect backdrop! Great photos that I can hardly take my eyes off.

  7. I like the new typeface for the blog! You are absolutely BLOOMING in this ensemble! The aqua and navy are so flattering on you, and I am drooling over that jacket. These are brilliant photos of a gorgeous subject.
