I have discovered a birthday cluster.  Bloggers born under the sun sign of Pisces within hours of each other, though in different years.  Jean of dross into gold HERE and Rose of Forever on the Catwalk of Life HERE were born on March 14th and The SC on March 15th.  When I became aware of this connection it was too intriguing to pass up without mention.  Check them out on this their special day!

Jean and Rose have been supportive, generous, kind and empathetic commenters on SC for as long as I can remember.  Many times my responses were limited as I struggled with focus, but every comment or email was important and enlightening (also true for all readers and commenters during this difficult time).  Over the past several months these accomplished women have launched their own spirited blogs and are commenting on each others’ blogs with their unique writing skills, displaying amazing visual style and internal beauty. It’s been thrilling for me to watch them shine with self expression, and they have only just begun. They are exquisite additions to the vibrant international blogging community.  This post is an expression of my appreciation!

Jean of dross into gold HERE

Jean, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, is a voice actor and talented upcycling designer   She creates stunning one-of-a-kind pieces from thrift shop finds, which she wears with elegance and sophistication on her blog. She recently submitted some of her upcycled pieces to Altered Couture Magazine, Fall/Winter issue. With hats or without, she has glamorous hair. I had the pleasure of meeting Jean last summer HERE when she was in Denver during her husband Joey’s appearance at a jazz festival.  She was beginning to plan her own blog during that time, and just look at her now.  Already a smashing success!

Rose of Forever On The Catwalk Of Life HERE

Rose, who lives in Shrewsbury, England, is a writer and multi-talented artist.  She blogs about her adventures while dishing up poetry and scintillating mini stories.  She was recently featured in a documentary about Downton Abbey (with Gorgeous Husband, in her delightful words) that was aired on Australian TV, so she’s already famous.  And she was wearing a hat!  Rose refers to herself as ‘Rosemary the Shopper’ and displays her finds on her blog, writing with humor and straight from the heart. She recently listed the colors of the 19 pairs of leather gloves in her collection.  What’s not to love!

  1. Oh Judith, you’ve made my day! And it was already a FANTASTIC birthday. How much fun can I handle? I think I tested the boundaries today.

Thank you for saying that you felt supported by my comments, but the real you shone out so brilliantly from your writing and your images. It was as though seeing you in person was just a technicality. You have been so brave and such an inspiration, not just to me, but to so many of us.

A wonderful happy birthday for you for tomorrow. Hugs and kisses!

Much, much love and many thanks from Rosemary from England
