July’s Hat Attack is a stunning piece of wearable art by the talented Carrie Jenkinson of Carrie Jenkinson Millinery HERE based in the UK. This wonderful rainbow feather fascinator headpiece mounted onto a millinery headband is the perfect festive accessory for a special event. This headpiece is the definition of “show stopper.”  Or “show starter,” which might be a better description!

Carrie Jenkinson’s Biography

Carrie Jenkinson Millinery is a Wiltshire-based fashion design company that was officially established in 2011 by Carrie Jenkinson. The fashion designer has achieved a lot within such short period of time and her beautifully designed and created bespoke fascinators, hats and headwear have continued to be outstanding in the fashion industry.

Most of Carrie’ s designs are inspired by nature and she frequently uses feathers to create her unique fascinators, hats and headwear. She works from her studio and designs and creates headwear for customers around the world.
Carrie trained at London School of Fashion. In 2013, she launched a Couture Fascinator Collection which is available exclusively at www.carriejenkinson.co.uk. Her designs collections are outstanding and unique and are often used in photo shoots for magazines. They have appeared several times in Vogue Magazine and Brides Magazine.

 

In 2013, Carrie was approached to design 2 masks for The Elephant Family charity masquerade ball. The mask were displayed in Sotheby’s and then purchased for £1000 each helping to raise over £600,000 for the charity which was established by the late Mark Shand. Other designers included Vivienne Westwood, Manolo Blahnik, Jasper Conran, Mario Testini, and Diane Von Furstenberg, to name but a few. All designers involved in this fabulous event were presented to HRH Prince Charles at a private pre ball party at Clarence House, London.

Carrie’s designs can be purchased in exclusive stores across the UK, Sydney, Melbourne, New York City and Boston. She also designs an exclusive range of headwear for Jigsaw Clothing in Australia.

She has also designed and created an Exclusive Collection for the House of Fraser which is available in their flagship Oxford street Store as well as selling an exclusive Collection for LoveHats who represent the top Milliners in the world.

Clients include, members of the Royal Family, Lady Gage and other celebrated fashion celebrities. She continues to grow her extensive client List and fan base throughout the world.

Why I Love Millinery – By Carrie Jenkinson

I think being creative in your life on any level is good for the soul! I enjoy trying out new designs and love making Fascinators and hats for people, it’s great fun and with millinery you can really get creative with your ideas. Each milliner has there own style but my designs tend to be a little “out there” as I’m constantly trying to move the boundaries of millinery.

  2. I love Carrie’s aesthetic when it comes to designing headwear. This piece reminds me of a multicoloured sea anemone, or a burst of fireworks. Of course, you are the perfect model for such a fantastical piece.
