September’s Hat Attack is a natural straw wide brim with black straw trim by Marzi HERE., which I discovered at an estate sale about a year ago.  Marzi hats are made in Italy, which is perfect for September 1st, as I will be traveling to Venice on this very day.  Who knows what hat adventures lie ahead! As a hat journalist I will share the beauty!

This large brimmed hat allows a very small window into the world, peering forth beneath its protective straw cover. There are times when I like the choice of a limited view.  Just another example of the advantages of wearing  a chapeau.

  1. Loving the comment of a restricted view as a conscious choice! The Japanese often use this concept in the design of their interiors and landscaping.

Especially with all the noise of technology and 24 hour connections, it’s good have a beautiful reminder of mindfulness in the guise of an elegant chapeau worn by such an elegant lady!

Buon Viaggio Judith! Wishing you a wonderful adventure! XOX

  2. Wow!! Venice sounds so exciting! I feel like you look like a ‘big deal’ in that hat—-I don’t even know what that means, but I mean it in a good way! Like getting off a big steamship or something! <3

  3. Wow! Wow! Wow! Just when I think it can’t get any better you come up with these photos.

How exciting – a trip to Venice! Drink it all up! I look forward to reading about your adventures.

  4. I can’t wait to see photos from your trip to Venice! I’m sure you will be greeted with exclamations of “Bella, Bella” in Italy.

Great movement in that bias cut skirt, and it works beautifully with the fitted jacket. That would be the perfect hat to wear when you want to keep the world at bay.

  5. Beautiful outfit, so elegant and refined. Very Italian in essence, which of course is very apt with the heritage of the hat and your current travels! Gail

  6. Hi Judith! I just discovered your link up from Athena at Minerva’s Garden! What a fun way to celebrate your love of hats! While I do love hats, I don’t wear many, but I will be sure to link up with you when I do! I have added your link up to my page…”Fabulous Link Ups Where I Link Up” and I am linking my favorite feather fascinator here! Thanks for all the headwear inspiration!

Also, I host 2 weekly link ups (on Tuesdays and Thursdays) if you want to stop by and join!

  7. This is a totally icon ensemble Judith – if I had to describe you, it woud be exactly like this. I love the large chapeau, the long sleek suit, the elegance of it all. Venice is divine and the most romantic place I’ve ever been. You will bowl them over and be bowled over by what you encounter.
