Hat Attack #29
December’s Hat Attack spends its days on the mantel, above the fireplace in my home. Why keep beauty hidden in a box when it can be on display? It was purchased at The Hat Shop NYC HERE in the late 90’s, and I love its wispy feathers and compelling mix of greens.
Headpiece, fascinator, holiday ornament. The term or category used to describe this piece is insignificant. The importance lies in its allure and how it makes me feel when I glance daily at its playful splendor. Why save that rich experience for special occasions? Especially when the starkness of winter has the tendency to cloud my view.

Dear Judith–
I absolutely love this headpiece! I would leave it out all year long as well! I have made a “valance” out of many vintage hats held gently together with wire and attached to my curtain rod in my home Art Studio! That way I experience their beauty all year long! On occasion I “unhook” one and wear it! I get so much enjoyment from your beautiful blog and IG gallery.
Thank you so very much!
Love,
Jewel 😀 xo
Enjoy this Festive time of year!!
My dearest Judith, this is the closest I get to wering a hat, but I had to link up.
Much love always

your hair is looking lovely – a good call to let it go from red to silver.
A Beautiful You!!! Love everything about the hat, the look, the smile….
You continue to inspire me…
Happiest Holidays!!
Warmly, Chris
Stunning! I imagine it gets a bit ticklish though?? Hat-tastic! x
Colour for Winter is simply marvelous, and green hits the spot. This fascinator is simply fantastic, and against your hair….a true winner!!
You look so darn adorable! Xo
this color looks great on you! I had a great time trying on hats at Debra’s studio, ended up getting 2! merle
What a wonderful piece, I thought it was foliage at first. It’s fabulously festive and looks incredible. xxx
What a fascinating fascinator! It looks lovely against your silver hair, which would have been a completely different look against the red. It’s so festive, and of course, you have the perfect gloves, too! I’ll be linking up later.
Love the whimsical explosion of greenery (it looks a bit Dr. Seuss-ical)! You can make any piece of headwear look very chic. The green stands out beautifully against your white hair and makes me think of pine trees in snow. Ok, I’ll stop with the metaphors, analogies and what have you 😉
Dear Judith;
What a wonderfully original idea. Love the dramatic arrangements.
Happy Holidays,
Geneva from Rock My Ages
Judith you may have outdone yourself with this one. I could copy every single comment up to now with a ditto beside them. So fabulous. I can count on the Style Crone to uplift my spirits any day. Thank you for doing your blog and sharing your stylish spirit.
Just what I needed to see today! You look more beautiful than any holiday ornament and remind me of evergreens on a snowy landscape.

That is some seriously amazing hat! What a gorgeous statement- spiky, yet soft, beautiful hues!
THANKYOU for your vote on FB,I’m not on there so I couldn’t reply and say thanks but I could see your kind comment! I didn’t win but I didn’t lose badly so that was the main thing! xxx
Another interesting headpiece, the green is stunning with your silver locks.
Thankyou for hosting Hat Attack and giving a platform for all hat lovers to share our passion.
Wow, that hat/fascinator/headpiece is amazing! It so suits you – it’s almost alive! Thank you so much for hosting “Hat Attack”, Judith!
I am in love with your fascinator. It’s a glamour salad!! Divine, simply. So many wispy bits. And it looks fantastic against your white hair. Drama. Thank you for hosting the 29th attack party. You motivate me to wear hats.
Your fascinator is lovely! A bit of bright spring green in the grey of winter. So dramatic!
I love it on you but could never wear it myself. I would constantly be trying to sweep those wispy bits out of my face.
bisous
Suzanne
Fascinating fascinator, Judith! A gorgeous color on your now-silver beautiful hair. xox

I love the color of this Fascinator with your hair! Very chic!
Thank you for the chance to link up today Judith, it’s the first time I’ve had a hat ready. I love you green feathered fandango. And your velvet jacket is beautiful, as are you. Elegance personified.

That is the most wonderful headpiece – so wispy and delicate, yet dramatic and bold at the same time. I love it! You really do have the best headwear collection, Judith! xxx
Judith,
Your green headpiece is gorgeous – like an exotic bromeliad in color and shape. And it must move wonderfully, due to it being made of feathers! Bouncing and wiggling and whatnot.
Much appreciation for this opportunity to wear a hat. Moreover, thank you for encouraging others to wear hats!
All the best,
Juliane
And I’m too late!
Still, I can enjoy your feathery feature against your snowy coiffure.
Do you find your hat colour choices are changing against your white hair? Or does it bring out new features in beloved old hats?
Looking stunning as always my dear!

I cannot for one minute believe that you are 72! You are such an inspiration!!
Many thanks StyleCrone for stopping by and writing. Indeed, I do love your recent green hat attack hat. My absolute favorite (so far) is your turquoise blue feathered hat. That hat really tempts me to learn to work with feathers; love how they reflect the light when applied to a curved (hat) surface.
The biggest surprise is that I hadn’t realized that you were a proprietor of a hat shop!! Ah, that explains the passion!! Thank you again for all your sweet appreciations and inspiring us all to live life fully! With or without hats!!
