This past weekend The SC had the pleasure of meeting the talented and beautiful Jean Barrett, voiceover artist (click here) and skilled upcycling designer. Jean is from Atlanta and was in the Denver area with her husband Joey (click here), a musician who was performing at the Colorado Jazz Festival. Jean has been commenting on SC for months, and it was exciting to meet her in person after knowing her only from her articulate and interesting written expressions.  Her gorgeous skirt was upcycled from items purchased at thrift stores.  Meeting Jean exemplifies the benefits of blogging and how the internet contributes to connections which have helped me grow, stretch and expand (mirroring my yoga practice).  Readers, commenters, and sister/brother bloggers continue to provide a breathtaking window into the world and a unique, rich and invaluable support system that would not otherwise exist. And that is to be celebrated!

  1. Having the opportunity to meet other bloggers has been such an unexepcted outcome of blogging, and an absolute pleasure. I’m so glad you had the opportunity to meet! You both look gorgeous in that picture, too.

  2. Judith, meeting you was totally uplifting. Thank you so much for making it possible. I’m looking forward to coming back and continuing the conversation! By the way, you are even lovelier in person, if that’s possible, with your graciousness and turquoise eyes!

    Love, Jean
