This past week I took a few minutes on a cloudy grey day of memorial service planning to stop at my friend’s beautiful art filled home to absorb a trunk show by Yasmine Rana from Kathmandu.  Click here to view Yasmine’s unique and vivid designs.  This silver jacket immediately caught my eye and I tried it on for a moment, just to remind myself that my love of elegant wearable art remained intact within. Though my entire world has changed, I was reassured that my interests and passions continue to reside in my core.  Does this mean that Nelson’s transition does not include the loss of self?  Perhaps I can put that fear to rest with an occasional visit to favorite and familiar playgrounds that existed prior to April 20th, 2011.

  3. You look fabulous in this jacket…and the best accessory is your smile! Thanks for your comment on my post…you simply summarized what needed to be said. I am so glad you are beginning to appear here again…we have missed you every day!

  4. That is a beautiful jacket; it exists to be worn by someone with the right spirit for it.

I had to read this several times to understand:

Perhaps I should say, I understood immediately. You put words to the feeling I had when my father died. Thank you. It read those sentences several times in gratitude.

  5. Yep, you are still here. You are profoundly changed, but you are here because you are going through it. Not trying to go around or under but through.
What a nice point that Carolyn took the photo, someone else who holds and nurtures her passion and appreciation for amazing textiles, and the creators that can’t help themselves.

  6. It is always healing to be true to our sacred path, and you are an artist in the realm of clothes, textiles, etc. Art heals, both the creator(s) and the beneficiaries.

You look lovely. I went to the link and enjoyed the clothes and the integrity of the vision. A special garment to wrap yourself in, definitely!

  7. Simply beautiful, I’m delighted that you return to earthly life and deleinar us with your wonderful outfits. Welcome, dear Judy.

  8. Yes, the sun still shines behind the clouds. The beauty and truth that lived in Nelson is still found in the world–his radiant smile is reflected at you in the sparkle of that jacket. And your dear self still shines in your own radiant smile. Thank you for sharing it with us.
    love—

  9. Beauty is healing ointment to any painful process. Thank you for sharing.
    Love Carol

  10. Your capacity for perfect expression is untouched by this great transition in your life. Thinking of you as always through these last months.

  11. Judith – NO one can wear silver like a redhead! You GO! Shine like the radiant creature that you are – even through the sorrow, light can break through – as it does when something beautiful finds you and lifts your spirits for a bit. Music, nature, and yes – wearable art like this jacket! May you have many happy experiences while wearing it…

    XO,
    Janine
