Royal Blue, I’m not done with you yet!  I feel more alive when under your spell.

Royal blue vintage felt hat with fringed brim and feather purchased at Fabulous Fanny’s HERE during the hat shopping spree with  the Idiosyncratic Fashionistas HERE.  Pieces accessorizing the hat are vintage estate sale treasures discovered over the years.  The scarf was tossed about with no plan!

As always, lighting is everything.  Blue becomes electric when exposed to filtered light through sheers!

Now it’s your turn!

Please display your hat, headwrap, headpiece, fascinator, hair flower, headband or other adornment for your head that you adore, give The SC a March HAT ATTACK and kindly link to Style Crone somewhere in your post.  Can’t wait to see the beautiful creations that you share throughout the next week. Participation will be open through March 7th.

Linking up with Mis Papelicos and her Share In Style HERE and Bella’s Secondhand First party HERE at The Citizen Rosebud.

  1. A very nice hat in interplay with scarf and gloves.
Royal blue is the color most mystical, I know. Love it more than all (previously I painted paintings in a very royal blue).
Have a great weekend and thanks for the lovely party

  2. Right, I decided not to miss any more of your hat Attacks and join as I am. I already do that at Anne´s, lol
Come and join Share-in-Style too, my dear friend

  3. What do you mean with “The scarf was tossed about with no plan”… Ohhh the agony. You just toss and I always wrestle with scarves. I love scarves and have plenty of them. As soon as I put them on it looks as if I have a cold or it looks droopy. Sometimes it is nice when I have completely pinned them down with safety pins. But never can I toss them about. (Can you tell I am jealous haha.)
You look radiant again. Love your hat, as a matter of fact the whole ensemble.
I will link up with you tomorrow when I publish my next post.
Unfortunately it is the same hat (bonnet) as I have shown before. I had a different one in mind but the pictures turned out bad. Better luck next time.

  4. Well, the tossed about scarf turned out a sartorial treat! I love that hat, the unusual angle of the feather – like someone’s fired it from a quiver – and the fringed trim and, of course, the wonderfully vibrant shade of blue! xxx

  5. Black and blue – so beautiful! And this shade of blue is especially pretty. As always, your hat is amazing. And love those little blue earrings.

  6. The hat and ensemble is brilliant, of course — but I’m suddenly aware of the importance of colored gloves. Long, long colored gloves!

And now I’m wondering why otherwise elegant women whose basic winter coat is a dark neutral don’t use bright gloves for accents? (Much easier to “toss about with no plan” than scary scarves!)

  7. I wish one of the beauty or fashion companies would pick you as their model…you would be fabulous with your style and smile…there’s a great campaign STYLE AND SMILE!! Love you, Judith…and the scarf!! 🙂

  8. Your “non-planned” scarf arrangement is lovelier than most people’s deliberate attempts. Royal blue is such a great late-Winter, early-Spring color and you wear it impeccably, as always 🙂

  9. Oh, Judith! Your smile is always so disarming! But that blue…everyone who knows me knows I’m a sucker for that exact shade of blue. I’m burbling over with glee! And, if truth be told, with a little bit of envy. I wish I had all those elements in my closet right now! ;p

  10. Gorgeous once again! Your clothes find the BEST smile to be seen with!

PS: could I have a scarf-tying mini lesson some day? Love it!

  11. Hi Gorgeous. What can I say? You make me smile and bring joy to my heart as I admire your ensemble. The scarf struck me as especially delicious, even before I knew it was extemporaneous.

You’re radiant, and thank you for hosting Hat Attack. It was just what the doctor ordered. XXOO

  12. I’m happy to see you in royal blue again SC, thank you so much for hosting another Hat Attack, I’ve finally got the internet back after three weeks and it’s lovely to be able to visit and comment again! xoxo

  13. Вам бесподобно идет синий цвет! С недавних пор слежу за Вашим блогом, любуюсь Вашими совершенными и элегантными образами. Спасибо за доставляемое удовольствие.

  14. You look so fabulous in electric blue, Judith, with your gorgeous feathered and fringed hat and artlessly tossed scarf! Loving all the hats on display, and very happy to be joining you again – thank you for hosting! xxx

  15. Ah, Judith, how very lovely you are in that stunning blue. It was made for you!
Thank you for hosting Hat Attack!

  16. That color blue is electrifying – it’s just lovely on you! And that hat is a wonderful find. I’ll have to start looking at hats when I go to thrift shops, because obviously I’m missing out – what a good showing for Hat Attack!

I also usually throw my scarves about any which way. If they’re soft, not silky, I just keep knotting and twisting until I get the shape and layout I want. Much more interesting than sticking to a routine knot.

  17. I absolutely LOVE it!!!!! I MUST wear my royal blue hat I got for Christmas- for some reason- apart from a shot with me wearing a mink round my neck in a Scavenger hunt, I have not worn it!!! Gah!!! I love the fact your hats are so quirky!!

  18. You look radiant in electric blue! It’s one of my favorite colors.

I will be mentioning Hat Attack in tomorrow’s post with a link.
Have a great rest of your weekend!

  19. Another gorgeous hat and outfit from you Judith. That color blue looks stunning on you. Well done to all the other hat wearers. I keep saying I will join but somehow it isn’t happening….

  20. I do not have a hat for to link-up please forgive! But I love your look- your electric blue head to toe, and wouldn’t miss a party thrown by you for the world. Thank YOU for linking up to the first #secondhandfirst link-up. You are my all time style hero!

  21. I just love how your hat is speared by a feather, and clearly that hat is electrifying the whole thing. Obviously you are also a professional at tossing with aplomb.

  22. I’m under the spell of royal blue right now too. Excellent hat with the glorious feather and fringe. Real beauty in the print of the scarf, looks hand made. This outfit has a positive energy!

    blue hue wonderland

  23. ooo, I’ve just made it in under the wire to join your Hat Attack! But nothing can compare to your shock of electric blue, dear Judith. Stunning, just stunning. Thanks for raising my hat-consciousness.

  24. I love seeing all the hats with Hat Attack. Keep it up as it is an inspiration to many to spice up their look and wardrobe with a hat.

  25. Judith, Judith, I made it!!! Your swooping feather and fringe in the royal-est of hues are amazing, and the gloves the perfect emphasis. I just realized I echo your pose though rather than your graceful effervescence, I’m in a spot of resignation and surrender. Fortunately, on my end these things are already passing, as they do – and your comment meant so much to me during my time away. Thank you for another tremendous Hat Attack, Judith!

  26. My dearest Judith, how I would have loved to link up with your Hat Attack this month. Alas, when I click on the button for “link up here” (or whatever it said) you know what my computer does? Absolutely blanking nothing! So, no can hook up. Maybe it’s time to take computer out behind the barn and shoot it. It’s a possibility!!

Anyway, so glad to see you in all your blue splendor. It’s very “in” this year. Lots of that deep sapphire colour about in the shops.

AND a happy birthday to you too, for a day coming up very soon. Us Pisces gals gotta keep up standards, don’t we? I know, the rest of the Zodiac are just following us!!

    Much love from England,
    Rosemary from http://www.foreveonthecatwalkoflife.blogspot.com
